Our Vision
Supporting strong families
Building strong children
Creating strong futures

On completion of the application forms, which includes our Standard Terms and Conditions, (E-mail us for the form or click here to download it now), we will contact you to confirm receipt of your application forms and to verify your requirements. If we do not contact you, please contact us as perhaps we have not received them
If requested, we do a consultation at your home, where we discuss in depth your and your family's requirements and meet the children.
We do not believe in sending you reams of CV's of potential candidates. We seek the best solutions to meet your needs and thus do the selecting and matching process ourselves. As a result we only put 1 - 5 candidates forward for interviews with you. If we do not have a suitable match we will inform you of this and will do a search until we do. We thrive on challenges!
Once the position has been profiled to suitable candidates, we consult with you, setting up interview times. We then email you all the information on the candidates - that is our detailed au pair/ candidates application forms, curriculum vitae and written references, certificates, etc.
Only candidates suitable to your requirements are put forward. Your final selection will be based on the "click" between the au pair, parents and children. Although we telephonically reference check the candidates, we advise you, as the family, to do the same.
Towards making the final decision we encourage you to invite the potential au pair to spend an hour or more at your home with the children. Besides checking on the 'click' with the children you would be able to confirm for yourself whether she/ he fits in with the family.
Once the decision is made the au pair becomes your employee and we email you an employment contract. We view this contract signing as an important process whereby both parties discuss in detail the expectations that the parents/au pair have of each other with regards to the children and the secondary duties, if there are any.
Ongoing Support

We see the ongoing support of a placement as an essential part of our business, but we also do not interfere where not requested. At Au Pair at Home we have experienced how vital our role in supporting placements has been by keeping the communications as open as possible for all parties. Au Pair at Home prefers to be the listening ear, the reflecting board and the advisors who understand the uniqueness of this field of work. We have mediated and problem-solved to help maintain a positive working relationship and aided in restructuring where necessary.
